(2) Part-Time EMT (Basic, Enhanced, Intermediate or Paramedic)

 

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum 12 months of field experience
  • Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License with positive points
  • Must have EVOC Class II minimum certification
  • Must have a valid CPR & EMT Certification (PALS, ACLS, EMT I &P)
  • Must be able to pass a national background check
  • Must have no physical restrictions and be able to pass a physical
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

     

Responsibilities:

  • Work seamlessly with both career and volunteer personnel
  • Perform independently in situations involving both basic and advanced life support activities
  • Safely operate ambulances and other light duty vehicles
  • Follow all agency and state regulations and protocols
  • Perform daily inspections of all apparatus and restock daily
  • Perform station duties
  • Ensure the cleanliness and stocking of station apparatus
